This was how mine looked.

I went for the gold.

(Note that the 1960's slant-stack on the left is real and the 1979 JMP head above it was modded by Mike Soldano to have an extra pre-amp stage.  The full-stack on the right is a fake used on stage for fun.)

Ever play "Wall Ball" (AKA Red Ass)?

Now that was a total jerk game... and it was awesome.

Ohhhhh yeah!!!  With racket-ball rackets too.  Our name for it was called "Butts Up" which is what happened when you dropped the ball coming off the wall.  If you did, you had to bend over in front of the wall, drop your drawers and the others would all get one shot from behind the line to nail you using a racket-ball and racket.

I was annoying in that game too 'cause I always caught the ball and had a VERY strong hit with my racket.  Heh...

I still remember watching one guy with his eyes closed and shaking a bit while another guy snuck up and smacked the ball from about two feet away.  YEOUCH!!!  The guy said he had a round target on the cheek that was hit for days!  Bright red in the middle, almost white around that and reddish-pink around that.  LOL!

Ha! Noice.

We never used rackets but later in life I'm quite surprised that game didn't end up with more concussions from kids running full tilt at the solid brick walls. I know I clonked myself pretty good a few times.

Of course there was always the one jerk who'd whip the ball at you anyway even if you were "safe". Usually everyone (especially the whipper) would get free shots on whoever pulled that crap.

We also had a twisted hybrid of soccer/hockey/football/rugby we'd play with a tennis ball.

Basically the idea was to kick the ball into the other side's goal (or across their goal line) but really everyone was just tackling/beating the crap out of each other.
