speaking of arse, have to go paint my bottom green today..........

I find that green keeps the barnacles off and camouflages all manner of other growth.

its certainly the reason.. it can be quite painful using a metal scraper to get barnacles of your bottom....

I use a blow-torch first just to loosen them a bit.

I hope you two are talking about boats!

I have tried that, but its not a good idea to do that where the shaft comes out

yes i do.. six crutches do help a lot to keep you level... but sitting for 6-8 months on gnarly blocks of wood isnt good for your bottom..and makes it hard to clean in those places... (not to mention splinters)
