You miss the entire point. It is DISTRIBUTED by Cakewalk. Updating LAME got rid of bugs. It happened (got updated) it stayed in problem reports.

anderton already said cake were focusing on touch rather than hardware controllers

Just to be clear, that's not "from the horse's mouth," it was an assumption that Cakewalk would be focusing on touch.

fair enough, although it was only after years of harranguing that the cs code got released... touch is also more likely available to new users without having to buy more kit, so that makes sense business-wise at least :)

It is fine here.  The files you're referring to are examples for the SDK, which itself is for end users to be able to create their own add-ons as required.

If you believe they should be distributed as part of the core program then your best option would be to email Cakewalk and tell them directly.

Alex, please change the subject line back else I'll have to assume you no longer wish the subject to be discussed and I'll have to remove the thread.

Thanks.

Why am I breaking any forum rules here?

This isn't a discussion this should have stayed in problem reports. Moving it out ignored handbook rules. When that happens the subject title can be changed and I can get a CWBRN.

And I just read again what you wrote.

You are THREATENING to delete this post.
On the basis of what? A subject title you don't like?

Edited ... Earlier I did say I will change the subject title when it's back in problem reports I have done so. Please be less heavy handed in future.
