Saffire cant be recognized nor does the fw light on the pro14 light up. PCI Card shows up working on device manager, pro 14 does not and no fw light. Power and LKD Are on. Really not sure what the problem is I've tried multiple cards and cables. Spoke to the support team they want me to try it on a mac which i'm having trouble finding somebody to help mne with that. I'm running windows 7 64bit. I originally had a pre built lenovo pc and the card and pro14 were working on it had its ups and downs and time outs but more or less working. Now i've rebuilt with a gigabyte motherboard the pro14 cant be detected. If somebody could help me with this i'll love you forever.

If you are running ASIO4ALL remove.

Next..
Remove mix control software.
Reboot.
Install 3.6 of mix control from FR's site.
Try again.

Still issues?

Try new FireWire cable.
Uninstall (do not delete) windows FireWire driver and reboot.
No joy? - try updating the firewire drivers. Do not install legacy.
Update firmware of your FireWire card.
Check to see if FireWire card is properly seated.
Update your motherboard BIOS.
Run windows update everywhere.
GOTO intel driver update website.

Still issues?
State your firewire card model and chipset.
Same with motherboard
Check windows event viewer for errors.

Hey Dok thanks for the quick reply, i actually installed asio4all as an attempt to get it working lol ok I will try the methods you have stated here. 1 Issue is mix control doesn't show up in the download section for pro 14 but it does for pro 40 would it be wiser to install 3.4 which is the highest on pro 14 section or does it make no difference?

Also have you ever attempted a win10 update on this machine? Don't do it just curious.

Make sure you completely removed asio4all and reboot.

I am confused by the OP, do you have both a firewire PCI card and a FW (1394) on your MB?

I am running my Saffire PRO 24 DSP off the MB connection (VIA chipset). No PCI card. I am running MixControl 3.4, and the FW driver is the legacy one (version 6.1.7601.17514, dated 6/21/2006).

*IF* you also have one on your MB, you may want to try disabling that one to force your machine to use the PCI card. I am not sure if there is a potential conflict going on there or not.
