I have Win 10 Pro 1709 with ALL updates and NO problems.  Sonar (and Studio One 3) run perfectly.  I also have the advanced Windows Insider version and NO problems on it either.

I have no "tweaks" to Win 10.  I do have power plan set for Performance but I don't consider that a "tweak".

Man I had a long break in October last year so I made a clone of my hard drive . Looks like I will be keeping this clone forever now as it’s the perfect version for the second last update of sonar. I am really lucky to have done this as i can quickly roll back using Samsung NvME clone disk. Better to be keep a version of Windows that sonar loves I guess.

I wasn't clear in my last thread, but I do believe my Sonar crashes are not actually Sonar's fault. It's W10 messing with my system and makes it unstable again. I did build the box myself so take full blame for this. I'm finding out that my Mobo , which is a Gigabyte GA 97x Soc is an overclocking gaming MoBo and was probably a bad choice for a DAW. The bios is unstable and I'm reluctant to flash it. Anyhow. It really hates W10 and seems better on W 8.1.
I still get crashes on my W10 HP store bought box but it's always on line so I think that's another issue.

I am still running Win 10 1703, so I will wait a bit longer before upgrading to FCU 1709...

Win10 stable as a rock for me Looks like you may already have an idea what it is. I assume you've updated drivers and firmware everywhere, visited Nvidia or AMD for drivers, been to Intel driver update site? Anyway not sure overclocking is a great idea for DAW PC's unless you need to play the latest version of Doom on it :)

Can't you flash the BIOS on these motherboards with any version you like?
