Thanks for the post BandLab. It's great that you jumped straight in with a message of reassurance, and it's great that you are being transparent. It's also amazing that many from the original team will be joining you. I foresee great things form my favourite DAW - Here's to a great future together. Cheers!

Great news! Now let's see what you've got. Having Noel on board is a good start.

Hey all,
This is terrific news.  I just want to let everyone know that Cakewalk is in great hands!  I'm thrilled for Noel and Ben, and I've heard Meng is awesome.  I'm also just selfishly happy that I get to keep using SONAR for my music projects :-).  Best of luck to all involved!  I hope to stay not too terribly far away.

I'm glad this has happened. Many of us felt it had to happen, given that SONAR is such a great DAW. But there was also a wistful, hopeful element to that belief: What if SONAR really was dead, after all?

I personally welcome the new owners, with this note: We love you for keeping our DAW alive, but we can be an ornery bunch when we don't get what we want. Next time you have a free week, read the threads relating to "Fix Notation!" and "It's NOT a Subscription!"

So happy to hear about this!  I was gutted after reading Cakewalk would be killed off. Seemed to be a crime against nature almost, to kill what I consider to be such a great software. I wasn't planning on using another DAW, and took the steps needed to keep using Cakewalk. BUT to lose the living , evolving part of the software would have been a deadly blow sooner or later and having someone new in the drivers seat is awesome, espacially for this community.

I wish you as the new owner great success!  Christmas came early this year :)
