I'm really stunned and surprised. Using other DAWs I realise how much of Sonar is in other work stations. I wish you all the best. I think I will do a re install now.

Thank you for coming to the rescues.

Thanks for that information. I'm wondering, what about all the people like me who purchased Sonar Platinum with "Lifetime Updates" ?

Hi Meng
Pleased to say I was one of the many who kept the faith and stuck with Sonar instead of trying
to learn a new DAW.
Your introductory piece bodes well for your future and ours and I look forward to whatever you have in store
for us.
Thank you for saving Cakewalk.

Regarding BandLab you have to understand what its designed for and the target audience. Its a mobile platform intended to be easy to use and collaborative. Its actually way more evolved than Momentum and has the right balance of editing, capture, social and collaboration tools. For many that's all they need and a DAW would be overwhelming.  I personally find web/mobile applications that try to do too much counter productive since advanced editing is not what most people use such devices for.

That is exactly what worries me! I realize that a lot of us including me do not fit into their target group. We are not a part of this playful young facebook-iphone-generation that always wants more whenever it is new! I think for plenty of us this is the reason why we have chosen Sonar and not one of those contemporary toy DAWs!

Well deep inside I knew this was going to happen.
Sonar is the best DAW out there and there were really no chance of it to just slowly die away from us.
That would have been the most stupid thing since ....
Long live Sonar!
Thanks for beeing the one that did the only right thing to do.
And congratulations to beeing the happy owner of the best DAW.
