Maybe I'm missing something but I don't remember a payment plan. Seems like there was a new updated version and upgrade for current users every year which I happily purchased.
But if I didn't buy the upgrade I'm assuming the previous version was still operative.

In hindsight (which is always a wonderful thing) the choice of 12 payments was probably wrong as it gave the impression that people were constantly paying...  maybe 10 or even 6 would have been better.  But the intention was to help those on a tight budget by making the repayments as cheap as possible.

That was just the case for me, Karyn.
At the time ,I couldn't afford the whole payment at once.
When spread across 12 months, it was a no brainer for me..
I still own the license to use it as I please.
What comes next, no one except the Bakers (I still call'em that), and BandLab knows.

But I don't care what you want to call it.  Makes no difference to me.  If Bandlab comes up with a similar scheme (no matter what you try to call it), I'm not buying.

You agreed a fixed price to own the software which you paid off in monthly instalments.  Don't keep up the payments and they take it away.

It's my opinion of your mistake, regarding subscriptions.
I know you'll keep whining about it being a subscription, even if it's not, so I'll stop now.
PS. I only noticed this post as you were quoting Karyn You're on my blocked list... And will still be there ,blocked, no matter where this adventure brings us.
