can we add support for Unicode text ? like Right-to-Left languages ?

when there are tracks named in such characters, the corresponding takes/wave files are named in the same unicode characters... so when reopening the project, CbB can't find them.

Here's something I wish you would fix that has been broken for a LONG time. The last version I had where it worked was Sonar 8.5.

Notice how Snap is turned ON, and the note value selected is 1/4? Can you please fix it so it will actually do that in Staff View rather than creating a mess that looks like this any time I barely miss clicking squarely on the beat?

I had a bunch of shortcuts ingrained in my memory for changing note values on the fly, too. I can still do most of those using key bindings, but I can't make a note go to the correct value if you're going to allow it to go anywhere regardless of what I select.

Before sending my master to the mastering office, I use the Audio / Export function. It's normal and everything is fine.
Yet it would be much better if it was in the presets an option "Conforms to sample rate and bit detph project." This would allow the mastering studio to conform the file with their own adapted material, without having to work on a title that has already been converted when we do not take care to modify them.

A tiny (easy?) request :
When exporting audio in mp3, editing the ID3 features, I'd like to find
the album name that has been written in the "Notes" (Browser view).

EDIT: It's worse than that, I just noticed. It takes the name and the track number of the last exported mp3 (so from an other  project) rather than the name it should take from the "Notes" window.

I've got a suggestion for an improvement to the start page and media browser.

1. To be able to see project notes on the start page when going through existing / recent projects. Same on the media browser when hovering the mouse over projects.
2. Ability to play a preview of a project from the start page & media browser.

The way I'd see (2) working, would be to have a "Save Preview" checkbox on the Save dialog

All this would do is perform an export of the master bus of say the first 20 seconds (or some configurable length) of your project and save the exported wav file the project's audio folder. Somewhere in the cwp file, it would have a reference to this file as being the project preview.

Then, with in the media browser you could play the project preview in the same way you can preview loops.

This would be an enormous help for going through unfinished projects which don't have meaningful song names yet.

In the BandLab Assistant on the Apps Tab, when it says "A new version is available", it would be helpful if when you click on "Learn More" that it actually takes you to a page with information on that new version. Perhaps release notes so we could actually learn more about that new version. Currently it only takes you to the CbB webpage.

Please. Add the option to freeze an entire Track Folder.

This would improve the workflow immensely (do I even need to point out why?) and I cannot fathom why it hasn't been implemented yet. Please. Please. Please.

FR: Export Tracks - file naming

Currently you have to give a prefix for track names.
However, almost often I'd like to export tracks _without_ any prefix. Track names and numbers could be used exclusively for wav filenames.

I would really like to see a 4th option added to the Drag and Drop options to "Play Clip on Top".

I often need to borrow a section from a clip and paste it over another part of the clip (to fix noises, etc.) and currently the only choice I have is to MIX the old with the new or REPLACE the old with the new.  The problem with REPLACE is that once that clip segment is dropped in it cannot be moved or edited again without disturbing everything around it.

If there was an option to "Play Clip on Top" you could simply move the new overlaid clip around, trim it, etc., NON-DESTRUCTIVELY to the clip beneath.  This is how some other DAWs, like Cubase, work.  Very helpful.

I am currently trying to do this using "Take Lanes" but it is way more cumbersome than simply sliding clips around in the main track view.
