My question was not who would want to buy a DAW, but who would choose of all their options the DAW now labeled as failed with a uset base already moving on in droves. I don't see how the current events would make sonar more attractive to people who were already bypassing.

Let's be honest, if there was even the slightest chance of a rescue deal, they would have announced it. If only to limit the numbers defecting to other DAWs.

Probably true. Every day that deal doesn't happen somebody buys a copy of Studio One or Cubase and they are out of the market.
And frankly besides the fact that I've been using Sonar for 30 years they're probably all about the same.

Wasn't trying to dash any hopes, but even if someone was interested in product the rescue approach has diminished with each passing day. Maybe if Gibson goes bellyup and is forced to liquidate assests a vulture type company might snatch at a giveaway price down the line.
