If you signature changes from "too many lasers" to "too many DAWs" will that be a clue.
LOL.. In my defense, I have demo'd Orion and passed. Studio One and passed. Podium and passed. Samplitude and passed. That's a few of the DAWs I have passed on.
I've used Pro-Tools and never thought I needed it.. I didn't exactly demo it and pass, but seen it and tried it in studios and passed. Same thing with Cubase.. I've used it, know it, and seem to have managed to do without it.
A couple of other DAWs I have tried would be MAX/Msp which, imo, is not really a DAW, or is.. I dunno what Max is. Least to say I am not using it.
I've managed to demo Bidule and pass. I've owned Traktor, and managed to sell it, ( I don't know how, lol KVR ), just as Mackie was dropping support for the product.
DP has no demo. I've never seen it/used it, but I find it interesting. Its up there with Sonar and Cubase. Although, I must confess.. Having Sonar, I see little need to actually go ahead and purchase DP.
There is also Pyrimix, and that is prohibitively expensive for me, and I do not know to much about it.
Finally, I would like to sell my Ableton Live 7 License. I am not using Live at all right now. And Reaper has become my, "mp3 encoder," as it uses the Lame Codec, but I use the software for nothing else but. Kinda sad, imo...
What is preventing me from selling Ableton, is the fact that my license has yet to be upgraded to 8, and I have seen folk selling their Live 8 licenses for $200.. So why would anybody want my Ableton Live 7, which I would like to sell for $185... Seeing as the cost to upgrade a 7 --- > 8 is $150.. It looks like my Live 7 is worth about $50.
When Live 9 arrives, I bet I will have a short and sweet window to try and sell my Live 7. Cause all the Live 8s will be off the market, and I expect a 7 --- > 9 upgrade to actually be less expensive.... Ableton, seems to have hit a trouble spot!!
