Just noticed at KVR, Vielklang ver 2 is now available.

http://www.zplane.de/products/plugins/vielklang

Upgraded, however after downloading, Win 7 Ms security essential gives a warning the installer appears malicious. Reported to Vielklang support, shall update back when I get a reply.

From KVR : The upgrade from vielklang 1.x is available for $69 / €49 (introductory offer $39 / €29).

How good/really useful is this?

There are some demo videos at the link above.

Harmonizing guitar solos, this is the older version :

Sometimes, I use it to speed up my brass/woodwind arrangement, it can also turn audio into midi, which is quite use full when I export the midi track into another notation software.

I just downloaded my upgrade from 1.x but am on the road (story of my life) and won't be able to install and test it out for a while.
Great deal (on the upgrade) though. Especially since i originally picked up the V1 versions as a deal.
Mesh - it is a very intelligent harmonizer that can output MIDI - so can be useful for taking simple melody lines and coming up with great harmony parts -
The audio output of version 1 (and of elastique which I also own) has more artifacts etc than Melodyne but I find it good if you are judicious in its use. Very friendly interface and a stable plug though. I am hoping Version 2 has improved on the audio portion - it definitely looks like a lot of the MIDI portion has improved quite a bit.

Thanks Brando. (Oh brother......another one to add to my never ending list....).
This reminds me to start using the Vocalizer plugin again.....

I've been beta testing this for quite a while - it really is a big improvement over version 1 - easier to use, harmonisation results much better and GUI vastly improved - I used the old version 1 quite a bit in the past - I will definitely be using this. Good and worthwhile upgrade I reckon

Don't worry about the antivirus warnings, they're bogus.

Yeah, it's only a warning, after downloading, and further scanning didn't show any problem. Support was quick to respond too.

Thanks!

Tested the demo yesterday with Sonar X2.Suffers of the same problem of Melodyne,Sonar can't loop correctly with that kind of plugs, the time line of Vielklang and Melodyne keeps to play ignoring the Sonar loop! It's a very old issue,it's really a pain to work like that!
C'mon Cakewalk that's really embarassing in 2012!
