I rarely listen to commerical music on my DAW anyway

Thanks Reece.

I like to listen to commercial on my DAW cause it sounds so friggin nice:)
But, how else can you validate any reference listening??
I A/B my mix to commercial mixes all the time. Think you may be missing something.

I do agree and I have thought about setting up winamp so that I can do some reference listening using ARC.  I just haven't done it yet.

I use a combination of VAC (Virtual Audio Cable) and a vsthost called Pedalboard with my onboard soundcard to pipe cd's, streaming music, etc. through ARC into my monitor switcher so everything I listen to is ARC'd. My MOTU is exclusive to Sonar.

I used to use VSTHost but it kept "drifting" latency-wise and I had to keep resetting it. PedalBoard2 works SO much efficiently!

Tim... I have heard about this>>  http://www.soundonsound.c...9/articles/krkergo.htm

It is supposed to be like ARC but it is a wired gizmo and costs a bit more but supposedly does the same or similar job. It stays wired into the speaker system and corrects in real time....

I looked at this, then I looked at ARC. ARC was about $200 at the time and IIRC this ERGO system was selling for around $500.... needless to say I went with ARC.

Might be what you are looking for though.

People have shot out Ergo and ARC on Gearslutz and other forums. Search them out, ARC comes out ahead time and time again. :)
