To keep all my install media.

The blessing is that most of my recent purchases (last 6 months or so) were downloadable and so in many cases recoverable via the intertubies. Even then, they (all dl'd products) are on my 4TB Raid Buffalo. I imagine I should consider Carbonite for an offsite storage of the Buffalo drive (as a natural disaster backup plan).

A coincidence.  Bought one on special from Office Depot yesterday http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/196928/Sentry-Safe-Fire-Safe-Combination-Safe/  on sale for $118.  1700 degrees for 1 hour.  87 pounds.  Looks good in the bookshelf in the den...

A local gun shop is running a really good sale on Liberty safes..... all fire rated and heavy as the fat lady at the fair.  I'm considering a visit to the shop to check out ammo deals as well as having a serious look at the safes.

Well, owing fireproof safes really worth you and helps to protect your expensive items. However, if anyone looking to keep any important items at there own place, than I recommend you for the Safes in NYC, which is considered as best option. They are best service provider for all types of hi-tech safes with other facilities needed.

I have one of those "fireproof" security boxes from Home Depot (about $40) and it seems like a sturdy box indeed. Trouble is, it's hard to recommend one because you have no idea how effective it is until you actually have a fire...
