Evening all....... in case anyone is wondering how, why, when, I was approached by Chris Hawkins from SWA a while ago asking whether I'd like to author this video. Oh the power of youtube.....
It didn' take too much thinking about either.

Running Time: 9 Hours 08 Minutes
Bet you can't watch it all before Sir Ranulph Fiennes crosses the Antarctic
The original idea was a two to three hour video but as a program the size of Sonar was always going to be difficult to do justice in that time, it sort of developed into the monster length that it is now.

It looks good!
But what i want to know is why does the cake store not have it yet???
Is it going to spoil the party or something?
Like X2....I want it!
just saying
I think it may eventually turn up in the store but I'm just the author, I have little to do with marketing of it.

So Karl is in a video for X2 which is not released (X2 that is, as well as the vid).
Can you say Beta Tester?
I obviously had an advance copy arranged via Chris Hawkins of SWA, I don't think that qualifies me as a tester though.

I'm hoping it comes with an in depth tutorial on setting up a screen set for using Audio Snap on 3 takes of 12 tracks of a live drum kit.
I need help with that.
I assume there's a dash of sacrcasm there but I'll answer for others that may be wondering. There's over 40 minutes on Audiosnap dealing mainly with live drums, some a full kit, others kick, snare, and overheads left & right. Only one take though and although screensets get a mention of course, I didn't build one especially for audiosnap. I just used my general purpose editing screenset.

Nice job Karl/FBB. Just purchased this - but - it looks like it is also a pre-order - was hoping to get a glimpse of X2 ahead of the main event. Any idea when the video will be released?
Ah well..
Thank you. I have no idea of the release date, I assume that it is waiting on the release of X2 of which I also have no idea, sorry.
The videos are extremely detailed and although I'm sure even with nine hours there is some stuff that isn't covered, certainly as much as I can has been and in great detail.
It covers from the very basics of set up, basic routing, etc through to covering the more advanced tools and uses. Hopefully there's something in it for all those that get it.
