That's how NI Plays their price game...   "$229," when you buy it alone, but save, "$800," when you buy Komplete..  They just want to sell, "$500 komplete, $500 komplete," over and over again.

I've got 1 product from NI, its an old, old version of traktor, I bought in late 2006..  Its never been upgraded, and loads perfect on windows 7..   If it doesn't work on windows 8, I will buy Deckadance from imageline..   

I've always wanted Reaktor, or Kontakt but...  They are so expensive on their own, you might as well, "buy komplete."  I don't want Komplete..  I hate having 1000 synths..  I like having my little tiny box of synths that I have learned thoroughly...

I like to buy Eq, compressor, tube saturation..   but there are so many great products for a lot less than $229, and I don't have to, "play the NI pricing game."

so that is where I am at...

The only way i buy it is if it is bundled in Komplete9, but if it is bundled in K9 then it will surely be in the Ultra version.  I would do this as I had already planed on getting  K9 this year as my Xmas present.  [I skipped K8] 

I listened to the audio demos and they do indeed have a dramatic impact upon the mixes/examples provided; however, all company demos do that.  The trick is to get them to sound good in a mix.   

Anyone get the video to work/load?

Oh..  I didn't even bother clicking the Native Ins link before, now I read your post, and I went to NI's website to see what you were saying...

These could all too easily use the same code as other plugins....

I saw this this morning looks sexy. I might pick it up but I have a ton of eq and compressors already. On the side of I think it may be better to wait for Komplete 9.

I read that and thanks. I'm working on my GAS habit. I have a UAD-2, 3xPowercores, an SSL duende cards and oodles of dynamics plugs from each. I'm thinking it's time to stop and learn how to use what I have. The fact that that plug sounds great is what I'm afraid of :)  but thanks
 I wouldn't feel bad if you don't get a response to all. Even though I'm loaded with that stuff that's a great deal. I think I will be looking mostly for synth deals for a while.

Komplete ultimate 9 , i'm waiting ......

try to minimise brands i deal with  ...now effects it's all Waves, Softube , Slate  (might go brainworx) and duende 
VSTi's :all  Rob papen , all Tone 2 ,  UHE Diva and of course Zeta 2 , Komplete 7 , Mashine and all Motu's  will certainly go IK total 


I really wish the release the previous comp out of guitar  rig also ... specialy the DBX 160
