...I assume it's just midi that one could use with any sampled piano.  It's not proprietary to EZKeys is it??  As that's a genre where my keyboard skills are at best average I'd love to use it as both a teaching tool and for occasional fills and such.  Buts I'm not really interested at this time in getting EZKeys.  Shout out to Mod Bod!!

I haven't actually looked at the file format out of the context of EZkeys.  I have a hunch that the grooves become standard midi once dragged and dropped outside of the EZKeys product from the interface.

EDIT: I had to mention to the TT developers when I first got the product to test that the performer who did the funky gospel grooves was one funky guy.  The grooves are valuable if nothing more that a source of cool licks that you could print out with a notation program and learn to play in every key.

OK...now I've got two different (maybe) competing answers...guess I should go ask Toon.  Hey Bapsi...where'd you find out?

I have EZKeys and I bought the Gospel pack. Installed it and the "MIDI" directory is one big blob of data, no .mid files.

What you can do with the EZKeys engine is export the MIDI once you've dropped the pattern into the interface. That's what I did with the one song I used it on so far. I did not use the supplied pianer. Once I had the MIDI exported EZKeys was deleted from the project. Simple. Ya, it will cost you 140 clams to go that route.

Not sure why they call it "MIDI". Misleading IMO.

Probably because that's what most people would understand.  There's a lot of stuff going on under the hood in EZKeys so I'm sure that there is extra stuff that is in the file as well as the need to keep people from dropping all the grooves on a file share site and immediately shutting down sales of the product.

Can't say much more than keep your eyes on EZkeys in the future.  TT is listening to the users.

I'm very excited abiut this product even though I've only used it once it did about 98% of what I expected it to do for me.

The minute you drag an EZKEYS clip into a SONAR MIDI track it becomes fully editable MIDI and can be saved as such.

Ya, but myolpal is not interested in the EZKeys engine.
