I have almost all the SampleTank libraries.   It always crashes Sonar X1 64bit with BitBridge or jBridge.  It hasn't been updated in 8 years.  It will not be updated this year and they won't even say it will be updated next year.  We may never have a 64bit version.  And... I can't even get support!!!  After going through their web support page several times and making sure all fields are filled out it always ends with  "Ticket denied Error #403".   All that money down the toilet...

I've had issues even logging into their web site at times. Sometimes, switching browser helped. You may have tried already, but, just in case...

Also, don't hesitate to PM IK Obi here - he's usually quite quick at replying. Lastly, if all else fails and you have Facebook, maybe try to get in touch w/ them there - they're quite active there too.

Hope it all works out for you. They've usually been quite good at getting back to me and helping me out w/ my issues.

I have not had any issues with Sampletank in 64bit Sonar 8.5. I get the impression there are many users here using it sucessfully in 64 bit X1 so you should be able to get to a soloution.

I agree with Rain - PM IKObi if you are having trouble reaching support

(Where oh where is Sample Tank 3??? )

Yeah, I've had very poor customer support by IK as well with ARC 1 on 64-bit.  Mine never got fixed and relayed back to me.  Rather a user on a different forum had the same issue and IK support helped them!  Thankfully, the other user was kind enough to let me know how they fixed it for them.

Buyer beware I guess.

I've had pretty good luck with IK support..  they always answer my emails..  they've exchanged a hardware product for me..  I quite like amplitube, amplitube 3, my iphone products....

I agree that they are not making very many desktop products and not really updating them right now..  but perhaps they feel, "we are living in a mobile world, lets focus our efforts there."

They certainly have billions and billions of people who will use tablets to make music and such

I can see that point of view...but here's a better one..

How about taking care of those of us DAW users who GOT THEM THERE?

They wouldn't even have those products had it not been for those of us who purchased
there DAW products, and while there is a growing market for "mobile" apps...
you certainly shouldn't neglect the maintenance of your current products because
you are focusing on "mobile" products...

That's a VERY BAD business strategy...

They should have had 64 bit versions of the DAW applications LONG AGO...
They are basically saying to those of us who paved the way for them, who
BOUGHT their 32 bit apps...

Sorry, you're screwed, we don't care about you any more, we have bigger fish to fry...

THAT IS JUST POOR BUSINESS...PERIOD...and SHAME ON THEM.

I hope IK Obi reads this....

I love my IK products....but don't leave us out in the cold .....

Just my thoughts...

Just an addendum to the above...

You notice that they DO support the BIG sellers AMPLITUBE and T-RACKS with 64 bit support..

But they neglect most of the rest...

MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, you haven't sold MORE of those OTHER products BECAUSE they are NOT 64 bit?
you'd probably sell a WHOLE LOT more if you GOT WITH THE PROGRAM!

The ONLY 32 bit player LEFT in the DAW (big boys) is Pro Tools...

C'mon guys....DAW software has been 64 bit for quite a while now, so WHY neglect these
other apps?

I had forgotten about that new upgrade, it was supposed to be just around the corner.....lots of hype for a while about new samples, and nothing heard lately, except for IOS products...(no I dont want to open that can of worms again,,)

FWIW the IK servers have been down a lot lately. I'm not sure exactly why but I get those 403 errors a lot.

The good news for them is that maybe the servers are overloaded with orders and downloads but if that is the case they need to upgrade the capacity to handle it all. Usually if I come back later everything works ok on the website. I understand it can be frustrating.

I've never had good experiences with IK support either.
