Looks as though the Facebook CODE is no longer active?  At least it doesn't work at AudioDeluxe.  So, $297.99 is the price for me unless anyone else knows of another discount - please share if so.  I've got a trigger finger.

Did you send the code via the Waves Voucher Quote Request OR just put it in the Coupon slot at checkout?

Coupon Code wont work..

You have to send a Voucher Quote request with the 10 percent voucher code
and AD will send you a Coupon Code to use at checkout...

It expired some time ago if I'm not mistaken - didn't work for me back in late July.

It's still good...I checked it on the Waves site....

You can't just enter the code...

You have to request a Waves Voucher Quote for AD
and then they send you a code to use at checkout..l

Thanks cclarry - I did indeed just try the code.  But that's okay, I really needed to hold off for a bit.  However, I couldn't pass up on the Musician 2 special (thx Rain Thread ) and now probably qualify for the upgrade price whenever I'm able to go Gold.

Good move fwrend,

Make sure after you register to do an upgrade check on the Waves site to see what upgrades you are eligible for...

I think you might be able to get into the Native Power Pack for pretty cheap, which is what got me to the Gold.

Not tooting my own horn, but that Summer voucher thing saved me ( I should say cost me ) an incredible amount of money...

And I just locked in my upgrade price for X2 with the Cake Bakers....YEAH BABY!!!!  Can't wait!

Btw...there is also a GOLD CERTIFICATION PROGRAM...it's $420 more then gold, but gets you "WAVES" certified.  It's basically the Waves Training program on line, and once you pass, you are GOLD CERTIFIED.  That might not bad on a resume!!  I wrote in a griped because it didn't show up
in the upgrade options...but they informed me that it did indeed exist.

The Gold Certification Program is $1000 on the Waves site, and includes the Gold Bundle.
Owners of Gold Bundle pay $420 to "Upgrade" to Gold Certified.

Mod Bod

I came to the same conclusion.  My demo period expires tomorrow.

So whatcha gonna do?

This decision is really messing with my head ... on the one hand, it is such a great deal, and I'm sure the plugs are top notch.  On the other hand, it will be a huge distraction right now to face the learning curve involved in order to get where I am comfortable with the plugs, at least the ones I will use most frequently.  I need to get out my "magic 8 ball" and rub it a few times ... I've already rubbed most of the hair off my head trying to make a decision!  This is a tough one for some reason - maybe it's partially because I am hesitant to get into an overwhelming number of plugs when there is already an "overwhelmed" factor at work with Sonar and the recording process in general.  I feel like I'm right on the edge of finally having some measure of control with everything, and I find myself questioning whether I want to dive back into uncharted territory.  Couple that with X2 coming up, and it just seems like there's never a spot where I feel 100% comfortable with all the "stuff" I have at my disposal.  I don't deal with "overwhelmed" very well, anyway, so it's not a spot I like to be in any more than absolutely necessary.  I don't know, in this case it might be okay, because a person could just take one plug at a time and integrate it into the flow until it was comfortable, but you know how it is when you get new plugs - you want to try them all out immediately.  So, it will take some measure of control if I do take the plunge.

Anybody else struggling with similar thoughts?

Hey leapin lizard, I'm not necessarily loosing any sleep over this but some of the same thoughts are going through my head. Noone has really mentioned the PC plug-ins compared to the waves plug-ins.I have loads of other plug-ins too. I have gotten some pretty good results with the toolkit I already have. No doubt this is a good deal but the timing isn't so good for me right now. I am planning an upgrade to ivy bridge in the near future which will likely include X2. I am wondering how much poo I'll need to wade through in order to move these over to another system or at the least another mobo setup with a sonar upgrade. I want to keep things simples until I get all of that sorted.

In addition to this only maybe half of the 30 plug-in set are attracting my attention at this point. The deal looks sweet though. Like modbod said there will be other sales, you can count on it.

This was a tough decision for some reason, but I went ahead and pulled the trigger and now am the proud owner of a boatload (Gold bundle) of Waves plugins.  There is a lot to learn here, for sure, but I am going to take it one plug at a time as the need arises instead of trying to learn them all right away.  If you are looking at a system upgrade in addition to having lots of other plugins, then it might not be the best time to get into this bundle ... I would put it off until your upgrade is done and you have time to devote some quality time to the Waves plugs.  Not only will there be more sales down the road, but there are other bundles to consider as well.  I wish they had the option to create a custom bundle from the plugins of your choice - yeah, you can buy each plugin separately, but not at bundle pricing - say 10 plugins of your choice for $100 or something similar.  I would have jumped on that right away without hesitation.  Oh well, I guess you take what you can get when the timing is right and try not to sweat the periods in between.  For now, I am looking forward to seeing what these plugins are truly capable of.

Congrats leapinl!  As mentioned above, I went with Musians 2.

Not to HJ the thread but the install went close to flawlessly.  But, for some reason Sonar won't recognize the plugs. Yes, I've rescanned the correct VST folders.  Initially, sonar reported it couldn't find the 32bit dll. And the dll's are their respective folders.

My other Wave plugs are there (vocal/bass rider, etc.) but none of the bundle. And frustrating on top of that - Studio One 2 load just fine. Go figure.

I didn't have time to spend much time but if anyone has a clue, please share.
