It's Verizon's fault, not DSLExtreme's.

When I was in L.A. county I got reputable dl/ul on AT&T with DSLExtreme.

They're in cahoots with the wireless people.

Doesn't matter how fast your download speed is listed at, it's just a "potential" and means nowt if you're downloading from a crappy server, i.e. this one.

Meebee, but at least I'm getting the forum errors faster.  That's progress, ya?

Here's mine on a 10 year old laptop using WiFi.
I'll check my wired PC later when I fire it up.

Can't argue with that.

Nice download Craig...you got me beat, but only until I update my modem. :) Comcast has been on me to update my modem for about 2 years now telling me my speeds will be off the hook once I get a new one that can support the new speeds they have given us.

My issue is...I'm perfectly happy with this and really don't feel like messing with anything or waiting for any "provisions".

Verizon offers Fios to me but I have to assume I'd lose my dslextreme email address and just the plug vendors alone would take me three years to cut over to another email address.

BTW - So far my internet hasn't dropped, but I won't really know until tomorrow morning if the "provisioning" is what was causing my intermittent issues.

This is mine:

WOOHOO..... they need to speed me up too. I could pay more for extra speed but it is almost instant, except for the last few days with the server wars.

Your area is grossly "oversold" and I wold make sure you report that to the City Council ... one of those folks is in charge of the Comcast contract!

Make sure, however, that you are not doing this going through a router ... because Comcast will undress you raw, otherwise.

We have a similar issue in Vancouver (across the river from Portland) where the old equipment is in the way and there is a nasty hesitation between Vancouver and the building where Comcast brings in their signal ... it can be as much as 10 to 15 seconds, and sometimes, even on World of Warcraft, or streaming a movie ... your firewall kills the connection for safety!

Yeah ... I'm paying $70 bux and I have less than 15 ... I'll test it again tonite, but here they make sure you can't stream anything and that your connection is checked hard for illegal bs ... which I don't do, even in music compared to what I buy and pay.
