Nahhh ... there were better looking women in Ipanema and Copacabana ... and the fun stuff they did was not cardboard like her movies. It pretty much tells you, and shows, how the movie studios controlled the media in those days.
I'm not a fan of that era at all, and it was an era that killed more music in America since the overzealous original settlers went after the native americans! It's not her fault, of course, but it was a product and a way to try and simply sell their product and had nothing to do with "movie", or any attempt to make it meaningful. Elvis was the same thing!
