BTW....Eco works flawlessly....so....it's either the Quad Capture Asio....or ...who knows...

But...as Paul Harvey says....that's THE REST of the story..

I'm running a Quad Capture also.

VV,

Did you run any of the grooves where multiple cymbals were being played...

That's when the problem comes in.....if you just play the cymbals one by one
they sounds GREAT....but, the minute you get into multiples they break up
really bad...

I'm a drummer so I play it live on a Roland kit.  I did play one of the  grooves briefly and didn't notice anything.  I'll go back and check.

OK...Mystery solved..

I decided..just for kicks...to "Run as Administrator"

Ta Da....no break up.....

DUH...why didn't I think of that earlier...

I've gotta say...those are some great sounding cymbals...

And the drums in Eco are awesome...

I can't wait to hear the Rock Legends kit with the steel tip sticks...

Anyone do a comparison to Superior Drummer?

The velocity layers in BFD are excellent I might add...

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that there are no additional cymbal kit piece definitions in ECO DV beyond the 11 definitions that load when you load the default preset?  I mean, when I bring ECO DV up in cymbal-only mode, I have 11 cymbals loaded.  However, I can't access any of the other cymbals that are out there in the Audio area, because there are no preset definitions for them.  I have installed ECO DV on two machines with different file structures, and I don't see any way to access the additional cymbals anywhere.  What am I doing wrong?

Not sure I understand your problem. I don't have the pack though I have both Eco & BFD2.
What do you mean by "definitions"? Are you referring to articulations?
There are 14 cymbals in the Z-pack so I'm not sure where 11 comes in.
You usually have 3 articulations with cymbals so I'm guessing that's not what you mean.

Are you saying you can only load 11 cymbals and not all 14?

Steve

Rail will hopefully sort you out when he picks up on this

Ok..

In Eco DV you have 12 cymbals in the default preset...not 11

The BOTTOM Hi Hat cymbal makes 13, and, since there
are actually 2 hi hat configurations 14 and 14A , 14A makes
the 14th...

I believe that is the 14 cymbals in the pack...

I could be wrong....

Just to REALLY clarify, you have 11 cymbals AND the Hi Hat, makiing 12 & 13 ON THE SCREEN

BTW....Rock Legends was worth the price of Eco...and getting the 64 bit host was
a MAJOR EXTRA bonus...great deal IMHO...

Not sure I understand your problem.
My wife says that all the time ... let me see if I can clarify.  When I bring up ECO DV in cymbal-only mode using the default preset, there are a total of 11 cymbal channels and 1 hi-hat channel, for a total of 12 usable channels.  Let's say I select the hi-hat channel, and go into the channel page.  Instead of "14 A Cust Stick", I want to select a different hi-hat, say the "14 New Beat Brush", which I can see if and know I have if I go to the "Audio folder" under my "BFD Eco DV" folder.  There is no way to select that particular hi-hat from the dropdown in the channel screen.  There is an option to "Load a Kit Piece Preset", which attempts to access the "My Documents\FXpansion\BFD Eco DV\Kit Pieces\HiHat" folder, but there are no kit piece definitions in that folder.  In fact, none of the folders under the "Kit Pieces" folder have any definitions in them.  I also looked in "Program Files (x86)\FXpansion\BFD Eco DV\System\Kit Pieces" and there are no definitions in any of those folders, either.

I also own BFD Eco 1.5, and it has kit piece definitions in each folder for each cymbal/drum that is available, but BFD Eco DV does not.  Perhaps the install routine put them somewhere else?  Does anyone else have kit piece definitions in the aforementioned folders?  Thanks for any help!
