BFD2 and BFD Eco are both 64 bit .  Eco DV is not.

Sweet.  So I can get Eco 1.5 for $49 or BFD for $99.  Hmmmm......

Indeed you can. You should really check out both thoroughly before you decide and check out minimum requirements (especially for BFD2)
and then double them. If you want to get serious about drums and creating your own sounds then BFD2 is the way to go and at $99
it's a no brainer as they say.
Having said that Eco is (IMHO) the best in that category and at that price and is much less of a learning curve.
I have posted loads of stuff about both and put up a comparison in another thread I'll dig out for you if you like.

No, BFD2 upgrade from BFD1.5 or Eco (and I guess DV) is $99… I think BFD2 full is on sale currently @ $150, so it works out the same...

But if the upgrade from Eco DV is $99 and people have already both Z-pack + Eco DV then it is $99 for BFD2
I'm so tempted to get the Z-pack, trouble is I don't know which one I want so I have all three.

Thanks, Steve.  I would like a link to your comparisons.  I've looked all over the web and I don't see anyone saying that the DV version is up-gradable t BFD2 for $99.  I' sent emails to FXpansion and Sweetwater but where did you see that?

This link specifically lists Eco DV

http://www.scitscat.com/p...eco-or-bfd-eco-dv.aspx

(Of course you may want to email them to make 100% sure.. since all other sites only list BFD Eco 1.5 as being eligible)

Finally got in and authorized.  Added my Eco and BFD paths and now all my Gen16 cymbals are available to ECO DV.  Cool.

BTW....Fxpansion loses points for not going 64 bit...

Ezdrummer costs less normally, and has a 64 bit host..

I think Fxpansion is only DRUM player that STILL has a 32 bit Host in Eco..
and has NO PLANS to make it 64 bit...

Even Steven Slate EX is 64 bit...

Time to get with the program boyz...

So just the DV version is not 64bit.

Correct. Unless there is an update to it somewhere, the version I installed from the media was 32bit only. I admit I have not searched out if a 64bit version of Eco DV exists.
