Good idea, for myself the others are just as useful. 
3A for instruments, guitars, sax, bass.
2A for groups, bv's, horns, bass, pads, loops.

Love the 3A on guitars.

Well on the 1176 world i really dig the FET comp from softube for its tweakability !! and sound ....

The blue face CLA is the one i feel really like a 1176 i used back then ...

For pads well i like to use the Fairchild or any L/R comp processor (API 2500 , Fab ProC, Vertigo) to really apply independant compression ....

Vocals : LA 2A shines on groups (busses) or the TLA 100 (softube witch i just love !) , on choruses : Fairchild or LA2A

Vocals tracks : CL 1B , FET , CLA 76 ....depends on what i want ...and have ;)

Bass : CL1B , CLA 3A , CLA 76 ...

By the way , are you guyz are interested of a quik overview of the Summit Eq from Softube  ? or i  go again on compressors ?

 If you make a video, I'll watch it. I don't have that EQ, but the CL1B came bundled with one of my pocos..would be great to see that one in action in your vocal or bass sceme. ;)
