I still remember the Falkland War in the early '80s; and the staunch resolution of PM Thatcher
as she led her country in protecting the dwindling remains of the British empire.
Receiving much adulation as young men from both sides died for a meaningless piece of rock.

Bitterness?

Blimey, you can mind read threads now.  You truly are amazing.

btw I haven't been around much lately have you posted anymore Klan pictures recently?

Not being blessed with your almost supernatural insight I can only respond to what I actually see, I can't best guess the workings of the mind behind the posts.

If the post says arse, my response will be arse.  You misquoted and selectively responded to my earlier response to your one sided view of somebody you know full well evokes mixed feelings from different perspectives.  I corrected the mistake you made.

Jonbouy, I'm beginning to think that you're just a nasty, unpleasant person. Can't think where I got that idea from.

That's fine by me.  Given what you seem to look toward as being recognizable qualities in people I'm actually feeling quite honoured by your idea.

Ms Thatcher passed

Quote from a fun book called "Rosie: Her Intimate Memoirs"

"One of these days they will have a woman PM in the House!" (... and everyone laughed!)

The book, supposedly written in or about 1905 or 1910, obviously knew what the Suffragette Movement was about then ... and yeah ... Maggie showed them, that not all men are that smart, either!

I don't think the Iron Lady was a very compassionate person.
I think some compassion is needed in politics.
But then again, I'm not allowed to talk about politics here, am I?

It would have been metal fatigue. Or rust.
