My bank, like others, now allows you to put a stack of money and checks into their ATM which is supposed to count it and tell you exactly what you gave it (along with nice little pictures of the checks on your receipt).

I used it late one night to depost $70 and make sure I'd have my rent covered and it decided to eat $50 of it.  All I ended up with was two of the $10's and a slip saying something went wrong so I needed to go to the bank early the next day.  Well, duh, if I really had wanted to go to the bank early the next day I wouldn't have been depositing cash late the night before!  In any event, I rearranged my schedule so I could stop by the branch when they opened and... three and half weeks later, the money was finally returned to my account.

I've never had a bank NOT want a deposit before!

Tell me about it. I frequently have to deposit 20 or more checks at a time at the bank. And without fail, the cashier or some other bank employee will say "did you know you can deposit those with your iPhone using the bank's app?" -- yeah and you have to photograph each check front and back and upload the photos....each check takes about 2 minutes to deposit. No thanks.

I heard tell there was someone actually making money in today's economy. So it's YOU. :)

Pffft...once I get done with paying my payroll taxes and NYC's gigantic state taxes & other associated state extortion, there's barely enough left to feed my plugin addiction

Hi,

I'm just really tired of rich companies finding even more ways to keep track of your information and to make sure they can share it with their own sister companies to make sure you buy things through them and not anyone else. Somewhere along the way, this has to crash, because it has become legal spam, a legal virus, and a way to collect so much information on you and your computing that hiding is stupid, and even insolent on your part!

Specially when it comes to downloading and playing illegal stuff ... all you need is one of those ... and Apple is one of them, that has been using the "cloud" idea with iTunes for many years, but no one says anything!

Don't support it ... but the idea that Big Brother is here ... is alive more than ever ... and WE SUPPORT IT! "Cloud" is just a different word for it!
