$199 was the big Sale they had going for ARC ver.1

Now that ARC ver.2 is out it is $299 which sounds like a fair price for the first time buyer.

The thing that gets me is all the IK hype that was going on about saving all kinds of money if we purchased ARC 1 for $199. The upgrade to ver. 2 is now $99 so that is a total savings of $2 dollars. Can't use jam points towards the purchase either.

If you wait, the upgrade is going up to $149. That would be a loss of $49.

I think I now see how the IK game is played. Kinda like going to a used car salesman to get a Really Great Deal...

Never believe the hype (from anyone not just IK). Simples.

Everybody seems so excited that the new version run 48khz, Correct me if I,m wrong, but I believe the old one did the same. I just wonder what magic the new version could bring - justifying the upgrade price?

arc 2 Just released today. Can't wait to hear the reports. It looks VERY good on paper. I have had Arc 1 installed in my studio for a year plus. My studio is very well treated acoustically so the correction that arc gives is minimal. However I like better than good definition when I mix and I think arc takes me closer than I can get without it. ANYWAY I am waiting for the first buyers to give an assessment in the forum.

Actually you CAN use up to 25 Jam Points on ARC for the crossgrade version .
