Sounds very nice. Both the song and the trumpet.

In case you may be wondering these free sounds only work in the full version of Kontakt not the Kontakt player. I sent them an email an asked. They said this free library only runs in demo mode in the player. Not sure what demo mode means in this case but that is the story.

Bought their "Chapman Trumpet" and it sounds frigging awesome. Also the Jubal flute plays really nice. Can't wait to use them on tracks.

They do sound good... gonna pick those two up for sure...

Hey gang... Alex again, just logged in under our official "embertone" account. Demo mode means that the instrument is NOT licensed by Native Instruments to play in the free Kontakt Player. In order to get that happening, we would need to pay a licensing fee to NI, and go through a few more hoops to get our products out. Basically, we can't afford it right now, but eventually we want to!

So... Full Kontakt 4/5 only, for now at least.

Any thoughts about different formats such as Mach Five / Uvi ?

Please, don't. There are a great many of us who prefer and seek out non-licensed libraries because we've already paid NI once (3 or 4 times in many cases) and don't want to give them any more money.

I have a question for you, Alex. NI is very secretive about their licensing terms, and I'm assuming licensees are forced to sign an NDA because nobody ever talks about them publicly. My question is this: does NI forbid selling two versions, one licensed, one not? Nobody does this, and the only reason I can think of for not doing so is that NI doesn't allow it.

When will your Outer Space Horn be will released?
Will it be more of an effect or a playable instrument?

@Bajan - We're curious about Machfive... The engine looks so interesting, and it seems like there's a lot going for it. However, to recreate our legato scripts would probably be quite time consuming. It's something we're looking into though!
@ProjectM - Thanks for the compliment! Please share with us when you use Embertone stuff. We love to hear our instruments in action.
@bitflipper - Check for a PM in a few minutes. I don't think there are any restrictions about having Kontakt Player (restricted) and Kontakt FULL (unrestricted) libraries available at the same time... Though this is only an educated guess. I'm thinking about Tonehammer's "Emotional Piano", which is now owned by Sound Iron. The Emotional Piano used to be a restricted, Kontakt Player instrument, but is now unrestricted, Kontakt FULL only... Did the same thing happen with their Requiem choral library?
@carl - Outer Space was just a teaser/silly joke... We have a strange sense of humor - BUT - there was some truth to it. We are in production right now for a french horn library, and will be offering a free/teaser version of it just to pique everyone's interest... Thanks for the interest and have a great weekend peeps! -Alex

Yes, Req Lite started as non-player only, then they added a player version... so you can get either one currently. Actually, only a $25 difference. I seem to remember at least one other dev having two versions as well... can't remember. 8dio's Req Pro does not have a player version available.
