Thanks again for the info, Alex. If NI does indeed allow both licensed and non-licensed versions then that would seem to be the best of both worlds, why does (almost) nobody do it?

Oh, and please try to maintain K4 compatibility (which you'll lose if you license with NI) for those of us who are trying to get off the NI merry-go-round of annually repurchasing the same sampler over and over again.

I dread the day I will be forced to upgrade from K4 just to use a new sample library. I'll reserve any further comments about NI...

Thanks for the feedback guys... Yes, for now we develop in Kontakt 4 to make sure all of our stuff is compatible. We made the mistake of making our first 5 instruments in Kontakt 5, thinking that it would be possible to revert back to K4... What a mistake that was!! Had to recreate those instruments in Kontakt 4 from scratch, erg... -Alex
