I realised after studying the small print on NI's site that their current Kontakt 5 crossgrade offer which expires July 31 (124 euros or about 150 USD) applies if you own Garritan Personal Orchestra. Which I do, and I imagine quite a number of other people here also probably have. Logging on to NI confirms indeed that I am eligible for the crossgrade, which I have therefore been unable to resist. Just thought I'd mention this, since at the price, this seems a pretty reasonable bargain for some 40+G of sample library.

With Kontakt, its not so much its own library but the third party content it makes available. There are some great free Kontakt instruments and may very low cost ones.

If you have anything that runs unrestricted in the free Kontakt player and need regestration in NI service centre you may be elegable fro a cross grade.
