Save wherever you want on the download. You have to unzip and then install (to your Eco or BFD2 directory of choice). In BFD or Eco you can set multiple paths to sample libraries.

Yes, I need multiple paths... laff. I don't quite understand but I will give it a shot. I was able to install the Andy Johns kit for SD3 so I should be able to do this.

It's covered in the manual, but here goes...

Download the ZIP files anywhere you like...

Unzip Part 1 and run the Windows installer

If possible create a folder on a non-system drive for your BFD samples, something like:

K:\Rock Legends

When asked where to install the samples to point to that folder.

After Part 1 is done installing repeat for the rest of the parts installing to the same location.

After installing start up BFD Eco, it should scan for new data -- if it doesn't then in the Eco menu select "Rebuild databases..."

You should then be prompted to authorize via FXpansion License Manager

If you aren't prompted to authorize you'll need to set the Data Path in BFD Eco in the menu select "Set Data Path..." and add the folder you installed to (K:\Rock Legends in this example).  Eco will scan the new data path and should prompt you to authorize.

Authorize your serial number exactly how you authorized Eco

You should then be set to go

Let me know if you need additional assistance.

Thanks,

Rail

I seem to be doing something wrong... again. I can open and use BFD ECO in stand alone or as a VST in X1 but reallyI have not used it. I realize now that not only does it not seem to find this expansion but it does not see the Groove Monkee samples I got a whie back. I am tired... I think I will uninstall and try again tomorrow. I will try following the manual as close as I can... it is hard being an old fart sometimes.
It wont be the first or last time I had to do something more than once.... glad tomorrow is Saturday!

Check the path is in the Eco Data Path...

FXpansion needs a serious upgrade on their download bandwidth. This is effing ridiculous... I just downloaded effing 96% of a 3.6GB file and it crapped out. No way to recover. And that was with an effing download manager FFS!!@!!!!1*(&#*!! No resume on a file that is supposedly resumable.  every other download attempt the DM can't create new sections, so I need to restart the download.... "can't find file on server". I mean, seriously... you wanna play with the big boys...

Email their support to ask if they have a server closer to your location you can download from.

We have our kit mirrored on servers globally... select the closest server for the download.

Thanks for the suggestion... no problem downloading the PS kit yesterday morning, but the FX downloads were terribly slow... had 3 downloads on 2 machines going, and speedtest showed that I still had 10mbit of a 25mbit connection available... oh well, the files downloaded eventually. I could almost live with the limited download speed, but the server errors are the most troubling... can't create resumable sections, etc. Maybe it's picky about download managers. Gotta suck it up... the Jazz/Funk and Percussion expansions are calling my name....
