Is VTM that CPU intensive?

Anyone, anyone, Bueller?

Well the 64 bit might make all the difference but I was able to run several instances of the 32 bit even on my old P4 3.2. Perhaps try to raise your buffer?

I'm using it on a 2010 Macbook Pro - far from cutting edge. Not particularly cpu hungry (Waves plug-ins are usually pretty well optimized). I often put an instance on the drums buss early in the project while I'm still tracking - meaning that my buffers are either set at 32 or 64 and I'm adding amp sims and other plug-ins/instruments as I go. That's in 32 bit mode - same in Logic, Pro Tools and Studio One.

Something doesn't seem right - you shouldn't see such a bump in the CPU usage.

Well you would think that the 64 bit version would be far less CPU
intensive then the 32 bit version....more memory to utilize...

It might be a PC to Mac difference in coding...

All I can say is WOW....I wouldn't have bought it
if I had known that....

I haven't tried again since upping the buffer count...

Ok....regarding Kramer Master Tape....all I can say again is WOW.. What a GREAT plug...
If VTM is better then that I'll surely be buying it...

The HLS Channel is nice...

Haven't had a piece of PIE yet..

The Native Power Pack plugs definitely are quite impressive...
I'm especially fond of the S-1...that's going to be VERY useful!
Good investment....
