Did IK get banned?  Or what??  

He got dissed.

It was made very obvious that I wasn't welcome. So my superiors and I talked and decided to withdraw from these forums. I'm still lurking though because I still like the conversation here. Especially in the songs and  coffee house sections I have been frequenting since before starting at IK under different username.

That, to me, is VERY unfortunate.  First, why would they not welcome you here?  You have as much right to be here, to share your opinions, and to promote your firm, as anyone else does on this forum.  This is an OPEN forum, and if Cake feels that you are stealing their business or "dissing" THEIR product, then maybe they should address THEIR OWN ISSUES about it before "chastising" or "banning" you.  

We are ALL (I hope) adults here.  We have the ability to make up our own minds, based on whatever info is provided.  I feel that to 
make someone feel unwelcome because of who they work for is, on Cakes part, on anyone else's for that matter, a sure sign of insecurity
and immaturity on their part.

Let's grow up people.  Stop the "Politic-ing" and get on with producing HIGH QUALITY products.  THEN let US decide what we like and don't like.
It's OUR DECISION - NOT YOURS!!!  AND....let everyone have their say...FREEDOM OF SPEECH.  You don't have to like it, or respond to it, or even READ it for that matter.  But don't make someone feel unwelcome because they are expressing their opinion.  I'm sure that the Cake people would
be welcome to do the same on the IK forum (I would hope).  We all should have the ability to "agree to disagree" and just get along and carry on.

So, IK Obi Wan Plugin Kenobi, you will be missed, but glad to know you're still lurking about...

I don't know the WHAT is that brought this about.  But from my experience with your posts, I think it's a "competitive" fear - and that, to me, is sad.
If the products you make "hold up" to critical scrutiny....then you have NOTHING to fear IMHO.

Well said.  Some posers here, especially one, were very rude and certainly not acting like adults.  I like IK reps here and it's a shame how he was treated.  One guy was seriously freaking out because he though it was spam.  Some people really need to get a grip.

I think you based that assumption on a very small select group of individuals who do not speak for the entire body of members here.

Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it. I'll pass this thread link along to my supervisors, maybe we can revisit the idea of me posting here again in our next meeting.

I might have to buy this SampleMoog. I was really trying to see if it had a reasonably fat and thick/rich sound to it, low end grumbling bass, a sound that is full bodiied, sort of comparable to what you got out of the Arturia.

You're more than welcome in my book IK... I appreciate your help with IK products on this board. VST's are bread and butter for modern DAWS and IK makes a bunch. So, please hang out if'n you like.

I think you should use your IK Obi login name to post IK Multimedia related and software related threads and use an alternate login name to post in other forums and threads. That way, it doesn't come off as you being a spammer and posting throughout the forums. I don't have a problem with seeing IK Multimedia on the threads I read but some people do and they voiced their feelings however harsh they may be. Still, you are very welcome here on these boards and I'm sure Cakewalk forum administrators feel the same way.

I enjoyed Ik Obi and his posts and I think it's ridiculous that he was treated like this in the first place.  Obi, I hope you reconsider

They are all based on the SampleTank framework...SonicSynth, SampleMoog, SampleTank, SampleTron, and Miraoslav....

SampleMoog is all MOOG.......16 different Moogs to be precise...


It sounds very good to me...as good as Arturia freebie...and far more flexible...

That's my 2 cents....and that's about what it's worth...
