Hey Mod Bod,                      You might find this new UA Artist series video enlightening. Producer/Engineer extraordinaire Joe Chiccarelli
demonstrates three of my favorite UAD plug-ins (Cooper Time Cube, Dimension D & EMT 140) to bring out a vocal performance.
He uses one of his current hit songs to explain how he got the vocal to shine using UAD plug-ins.  All three of the plug-ins brought life to the vocal track, but in a different way. Even after all these years the Plate 140 is still my favorite reverb. In the right hands there is really nothing else quite like it and works great on most anything (vocals, guitars, drums, etc..).

Dave - Just FYI, the UAD-2 cards work just fine in a regular, long PCIe X 16 slot if you might have one of those.

Thanks, I'll check that out.  I'm trying to recall what I have in the machine that's taking up slots.  I think I might have used a slot for a PCI-E video card.

Yeah, my  ASUS M3N78-VM AM2+ NVIDIA GeForce 8200 Motherboard  only has two PCI-E slots and one is taken up by the video card.  (Maybe it's better this way.)

Now I want the EMT 140.  That sounds great.

Got my first $50 voucher.  I bought my UAD2 solo back at Christmas.  Do have a question.  Do they regularly give these $50 vouchers to past customers?  I remember before Christmas several posts about these vouchers.  So are they a part of their regular promotions for returning customers?

No doubt. I already picked up the tape delay and I'm thinking about the Cooper Time Cube before the day ends.  I've avoided the tape emulations and I'm pretty happy with the ToneBoosters version that I already have.  I'm afraid to try the UAD emulations until I can really afford to part with a bit more money.

On your other post you mention the EMT 140.  I have it and really like it.  Makes it way into a lot of stuff for vocals and a few other things as well.

This is a great tip, hope we can all get something excellent for music.
