Here is the fix for Windows....but not XP unfortunately....it's working great for me on Windows 7.

Weird...  I haven't had any issues with YouTube lately (even before the speed boost).  Oh well, I saved the trick in case I need it!

I was having trouble with YouTube too running Chrome on XP.
I found this fix HERE and everything works well now.


This fix is for Chrome users only.
Just thought I'd add it to this thread.

nice find sharke, to bad its notsomething you can just leave on all the time.
I might try building an app in C++ to engage everytime the web address youtube is recognized.

if I do I will send you a link to download it.

I was having trouble with YouTube too running Chrome on XP.

I tried that fix some time ago, but found that the plug was reactivating itself every time I restarted Chrome. Looking around it appeared other people were having the same problem, and it was reported as a bug.
