On the face of it, just another choir Aaah patch but it looks and sounds rather intresting. Soniccoture's  CrowdChoir built from recordings submitted by 1000 people from around the globe.

All profits go the the Red Cross.  I am trying to be a bit more selective on the "its only $25" type products these days but I might just pick this one up.

We never intended it to sound like a natural choir; we expected it to sound very mellotron-like, as in the 10cc track. However, it surprised us ; the richness of 1000 different voices singing into different microphones in 1000 different rooms adds a depth that would be hard to ahcive any other way. And it's interesting that the varying recording quality of the many submissions really doesn't matter at all in the end result - if anything it adds more character, but never degrades the sound.

Hi
I've had this a couple of weeks now - we submitted some of the "voices" so got the finished product early.
I have to say when I first heard of the project and we sent the stuff in my expectations of what I thought the final product would be like, were not that high!
But I was really surprised  - I think this is going to be quite different to most of the other choir products and pretty usable in the right context - I'm  sure this will show up somewhere soon on some of the stuff we are working on at the moment!

And every one of the 1,000 singers and 4,000 samples are perfectly on pitch! What are the odds?
