Using the online installer now.

It's designed to keep you up to date by scanning your computer and installing updates.

Ok, time for haters to hate.

1. Intrusive
2. Requires you to be online
3. ????

They now know you visit crochet sites, your favourite colour is burnt sienna and your middle name is Ivanhoe.

It's ok. I'm not crazy about it. I prefer to manually manage my content and updates but whatever. I have backups if it turns out to be George Orwell or Beelzebub in disguise. I like AD but don't really use it enough to have real strong feelings about it,  but I did want the 64-bit update so I kind of had to accept the new paradigm. The thing that annoyed me the most was having to reinstall the free kit pieces I had previously collected and that got wiped out by the new installer.

Peace,
Don

I don't think it's intrusive. A bit crazy though. You have to leave everything checked or else it won't work properly. Other than that, I like it better. You use Windows so it the same thing really.

Actually, I like that the software companies are doing things like this so we can keep up to date easily.

Don,

I'm with you on the use of Addictive. I need to try it out more than I have. I have far too many drum options and too few projects to try them out in.

Worked fine on Win7 x64.
I was surprised to see a few items had upgrades available so I'm glad I installed.

I love it!  Totally simple.  Much faster process.  Easy to know what has been updated.  Rock on XLN!

Yup just updated my two DAWs. Interestingly, I thought I was up to date. Seems I was not.

I could have told you that without a scan of your computer mate.
