that doesn't make me happy at all.

I don't have an iphone or ipad and don't plan on getting one.  none of the i-stuff is important to me in any way shape or form.

Even less in one week, roight?

roight!

@Bapu No metrics, I just assumed. I'm sorry for trying to make you guys happy by leaking info on a release before it was released. I'll be sure to keep my mouth shut about leaks on future releases around you guys.

No need to take your ball and go home.

I'm all for you giving us a heads up on new products here. And if you're excited about product that great too.

It's just that you said "everyone is going to be happy" and I've said that (I believe) that waht most of were hoping for was a major announcement of 32bits becoming 64bits.

I think it really fair to say that if you've been paying attention to the people here, 32->64bit is what we are really chomping at the bit (pun intended) for.

You do understand these are all new Gear Models in the AmpliTube Custom Shop right? Not just iOS?

You can't make everyone happy I guess, but there are TONS of people excited to have Marshall and Slash tones on their mobile device and on their desktops.

yes, but that's only a little better.    I have never bought anything from the custom shop because I'm primarily a vocalist and synth player.

I really appreciate IK OBI's participation in this forum; he has helped a great deal of people especially with ARC--myself included.  However, I too was expecting something other than (more serious than) just another Iphone/Ipad app.  While I own an IPhone, I don't use it in my studio for recording although I might use an IPad as a remote control service for Sonar soon.

I agree with Bapu that the tone of the announcement got our hopes up.  I think we were expecting something for serious studio project studio and serious hobby studio use--something like 64 bit, or the long promised, much anticipated, yet never really here SampleTank 3.  The announcement the other day got my hope up that ST3 was actually finally going to happen.  Now that would be great news indeed.

IK OBI--please don't go away.  But do remember that many if not most of us around here in this forum are looking for studio enhancements (64bit or ST3) not just another app for I-phones.

I do appreciate the attempt to make me happy Obi, but that just isn't going to cut it for me. I don't have or have any plans on getting an iphone. I can't really say I've given it a fair chance but so far I'm not a fan of the custom shop. Having a " Custom Shop"link on my A3 interface instead of in the, "Help"> "About" is kind of shareware freeware looking.  I like amplatube 3 well enough though.
The IK that I love came out with great plugs and synths like Miroslav Philharmonic, Amplatube Fender and ARC.
If you're taking any kind of survey here, you can count me as one of the customers that are waiting for you guys to get tired of playing with your ithingys and get back to serious innovation. JMHO

These comments come under the harsh but fair banner. Slash is an OK guitar player and his beloved Marshall anniversary heads are also pretty common. In fact, I thought IK already had that model available.

I'm underwhelmed by the announcement but there may be thousands of 20 something kids with iphones that are delighted. I hope for you and the IK team that this is the case. Thank you for the interest and the heads up, it is appreciated, but I think the demographics of the forum are a bit misaligned with your target audience.

Yea Slash, I don't get that. A decent enough player but not someone I think about for great tone.

What would really be nice and make me happy is an emulation of a tape sim.

Third party VSTs in the T-Racks software would be nice as well.

BTW - Just picked up ARC and I'm lovin that!

You guys do understand these are all new Gear Models in the AmpliTube Custom Shop right? Marshall AND Slash both signed on and had to APPROVE the tone before we could even release it. THEN came the port over to the iPhone along with the free updates for them.

This COULD mean there will be even more Marshall gear models in the future. We'll see.

@Guitar Pima, Glad you're liking ARC. I LOVE it and use it all the time now!
