But I like it when u reply back lol. I've seen Obi all over the net even before he worked for IK he was still talking about their stuff a lot. He is just a fan of their stuff and I don't see why that is such a bad thing. If he wasn't on IK payroll it wouldn't be a problem but since he is on payroll it is a problem I get it but hey its whatever a man's gotta eat and I would rather "spam" the net with threads like these than to flip burgers or something like that.

IK Obi is giving a heads up about their new products, and he's doing it in the appropriate section of the forum. He is up front about who he works for. Don't be so precious JonBouy.

Thanks for the support from people that are interested in my posts. If you don't like it, I apologize. You have full control to ignore me and my posts. To get this back on topic here is a video of Slash doing crazy solos like only Slash can! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJNec1MEDzg

And that has exactly what to do with the software forum?

And of course the same applies here.

Of course there are alternatives.

Here's 11 top VST's courtesy of MusicRadar.com

Don't forget getting that signature tone is a very personal thing, and with software even what is considered the best may not float your boat, so make sure you're not limiting yourself in any way and check them all out.

There are many more besides check them out if Slash don't warrant your cash.

For example I personally like many of the Revalver models where as some would disgree with that choice.

Hey Obi, what tours has Slash used Amplitube on stage or recorded credits where it's been employed?

I'm kinda wonderin' or does he use it like a practice amp and stuff for noodlin'

I was thinking it would be nice to hear a commercial track or some footage where he's usin' it in anger.  You know like the finished tone that the kids end up buying the music for.

What percentage of my purchase would be taken up by cost of the licensing deal to get him on board, or is he like you and does it simply because he loves IK Multimedia's stuff?

And what are those mystery files that Amplitube puts in system locations that we are told are completely innocuous and yet it insists on putting them there?  What do they actually do and why can't we delete them if they are so innocuous?

I didn't really ascertain their purpose in the end, I was just informed they were nothing to worry about, has anyone found out what they actually DO?

Brian @ IK
Jonbouy - Slash used AmpliTube iRig on his 2010 tour... on the tour bus and in his hotel room... to write most of the Apocalyptic Love album. Slash was able to write an album on the road with it. This is what we mean by the Mobile Music Revolution! He talks about it in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJNec1MEDzg

Cool.  Thanks.

I get it, Slash, similar to our very own, affable community member Obi, is a fully paid-up endorsee of Amplitube, nothing wrong with that.

That answers ONE of my questions.

btw Welcome to the Cakewalk forums.
