How tweakble are these? More, less of the same as all other EZMix presets (i.e. two dials)?

The way the advertising for this product comes across to me is that it puts you in the ball park. It might even get pretty close to being there or good enough in some situations.

Lets face it, most people like EZ anything. I have limited time so I like the concept of something that gets me there or close quickly. I ended up with Alloy/Ozone so I'm not in the market for yet another similar product. You never know though, I might get GAS again. It's so unpredictable and  the price sure looks good on it.

Probably the toughest thing for a veteran of mixing to accept or admit is that what took a long time to learn and impliment can now be closely copied with products like these.

Obviously, someone who decides to use EZMix makes a judgement call: that the plug-in can help him or her come up w/ a mix that's at least as good or potentially even better than what he or she could have achieved on his own.
If a musician or a songwriter is humble enough to admit it and entertains no idea of becoming a proficient mix engineer, why not?

I prefer to learn and earn the skills, but I can see where this type of plug-in can come in handy. Plus, not every gig requires Roger Nichols type of skills. There's plenty of poorly mixed music out there on the air already -  not sure EZMix could actually make it worst...

I'm with Yorolpal! I've been using ezDrummer for two years now and I love the sound and results.  Toontrack provides a very valuable product and I support their products.

I wouldn't compare Ozone and ezMix though.  Different products, different price points and different capabilities.  You either want to spend a fair amount of time learning how to "master" a recording or you don't. I actually enjoy spending time with Ozone but that's my opnion.  Just like I used to spend hours programming drum tracks and was never satisfied with the results.  But now I get the results I want quickly with ezDrummer and I can focus on playing guitar, my real instrument.

In any case, if you don't want their products, don't buy them. The free market has a funny way of sorting these things out.
