It's kinda like riding on ancient sand dunes that have grown over with pine trees, grass lands, low lying wet areas, and Cyprus ponds.


If you look really carefully you can see the old single track trail behind the bicycle.

There's always arrowheads around those cypress ponds... in case you ever come across some plowed place after a rain. Pottery shards too. I've never seen a cypress pond that didn't have remains of a village around it.

I think you have a career as a photographer.   Looks like a magazine add to sell that brand of bike.  Looks like fun.  When I was younger I was a big single track rider on my TREK.

Thanks Kevin. I just saw some nice light and grabbed it. 

The trails I'm riding are real nice right now. No one has been on them for many years as they are unmarked and hard to learn. I'm re-discovering them after many years and the tread surface is in pristine condition. With the exception of the fact that they have accumulated a lot of windfall sticks and stuff they are near perfect.

Yesterday I tried to bash through a dead tree's crown that had fallen across the trail. I got a size able stick in the spokes and ripped my derailleur off the bike so I had to walk home. :-) Now I remember why we used to carry so many tools.

Luckily I have spares and tools so I'll be back out this afternoon.



I can feel an improvement, which I attribute to the riding, in my acoustic kit drumming and my singing. Good stuff.
