I purchased the original version of Amplitube, then Amplitube 2, and am now using Amplitube 3. This latest version is fantastic! Very detailed amp modeling for sure. And it's FREE! A high quality product that keeps my clients very happy and I didn't spend a dime! There are enough combinations of stomp boxes, amps, cabinets, mics and rack effects to go a long way toward achieving lots and lots of very viable guitar rigs. And it's all FREE!

I can't see that I will ever need to purchase one single item from the custom shop as there is enough in the FREE version to handle the sessions in my studio almost without exception.

I know IK would really want me to buy all sorts of add ons from the custom shop but they've given me enough stuff for FREE that I don't need anything else!

I would highly recommend to all SONAR users to take advantage of the FREE version of Amplitube 3 and never purchase anything else for it from the custom shop. Use it! Use it everyday! I'm currently using it with, a three piece band (very John Mayer-ish), a straight up traditional country project, a Spanish Contemporary Christian group, a commercial Nashville songwriter and a scream metal project band. And Amplitube has come through like a champ! Without purchasing one item from the custom shop!

So brethern, grab it for FREE and work it into your daily routine. Just don't spend any money with IK cause you don't have to! I have it loaded on a machine with no internet access so I'm not concerned that "innoccuous files" planted by the software can do any reporting back to IK at all.

Get it for FREE and run like a bandit!

I hear ya...

There's only so many variations of clean signal twatted through a mangler you can get anyway, and this one does indeed have enough.

In fact you'd probably spend less time auditioning presets with this one and actually get more work done instead.
