I was looking through my product list from Cakewalk the other day and saw ReValver.

I Googled it to see if they're still around and WOW! yes they are.

Order placed.

The youtube video just shows us how great this software can be.

This is actually one of my favorite guitar effects plugins--very powerful, and very extensive. Most of the guitar effects plugins I've tried only cover one aspect well, like high distorted tones, crunchy blues tones, etc., but I feel like ReValver covers a lot of styles and genres really well.

And it hosts VSTs, too. Inserting the free StudioDevil amp, for example, allows you to play with the huge cabinet variations. I only have the  Mk II, I never bought the Peavey version. I got a little annoyed by how they cut off the original customers.

Same here - I did not like the way us MkII users suddenly had no support once it became a Peavy product.
I have a couple of the Alien Connections Products - Pristine Sound and Revalver's I and II.
Of course cannot use any of them any more as I went Windows 7 64 bit some time ago so did not want to risk even installing them. Even if they still do work now I doubt if they will for much longer.
Peavy missed a major trick by not offering a decently priced upgrade path.
So Alien Connections joined my ever growing list of purchased software that had a very short time span - Muse (giga studio) Kore, Powercore, Kjaerhus - ah the lists seems to go on for ever - I had better stop listing defunct software for now,  before I slit my wrists over all the wasted money!!!!!

It's one of the few Amp sims out there that attempts to re-create the sound of the 5150.

This is now high on my wish list.

Revalver is one of the most dynamic ampsims I've tried. I like it a lot, but I've just tried the demo (yet)

Peavey pulled the plug on Cakewalk during a new release of Sonar and some got a newer version of Revalver Le at the time but most didn't. Ruthless they were.
