Anyone here using Sample Logic Morphestra? It sounds pretty impressive, but is it? I have Evolve and some other software in this genre of cinematic music making. Has anyone here been using it?

I would love to have Morphestra. I wish I'd bought it instead of Omnisphere, as I'd have likely found it more useful. Another one to consider is Cinematic Guitars. I'd have 'em all if they weren't so damn expensive.

BTW, they sell a $5 sampler with various patches from each of their libraries, including Morphestra and Cinematic Guitars. You should absolutely pick that up if you don't have it already.

Wow Bit!  Thanks for the heads up.  The stuff in the Air section alone is worth way more than the measly little $5 semolians.  Thanks!

Me too.  Thanks Bit!  I am getting the $5 sampler.  Just looked at some of the video demos for their full version products.  I must say they have some of the coolest looking GUI's [e.g. Cinematic Guitars] for Kontakt, and they sound nice as well.

Yeah, Morphestra is tempting, and I already have Omnisphere. But this might be the frosting on my cake. It is very expensive, but 50 less so at Sweetwater. I'm very ready to pull the trigger and get it. Maybe. Bit is right about how good it is. And I would like to have them all, too. The Morphestra also includes some Kirk Hunter Orchestral content, too. [I'll be waiting for a while downloading this monster]

Sample Logic’s award-winning team presents a powerful collection of creatively new and inventive organic instruments. Morphestra is derived entirely from orchestral recordings and psycho-acoustic sound design. In association with Kirk Hunter Studios and powered by Native Instruments Kontakt Player. Morphestra is an epic collection of over 1200+ instruments and multis available as a convenient direct download.

Morphestra is ideal for film, TV, video games, electronic music, ambient music, multimedia genres, family picnics and much more… Its powerful instruments and multis stand on their own making it a “must have” for people like Bitflipper, Yoropal and Bapu. This makes creating an entire production possible without the assistance of any additional third-party instruments and effects. This “cine-organic” achievement surpasses any library of its kind known to Bapu.  Rather than reinventing the traditional orchestra, Sample Logic has created a modern-day virtual instrument using effectual techniques. Morphestra includes: cinematic atmospheres, innovative arpeggiated/gated melodic and rhythmic instruments, thunderous percussive impacts, transition trailer effects, dynamic rhythmic loops, and lush evocative pads, just to name a few.

Ok. I'm going to bite the 500 dollar silver bullet and buy it, knowing how much Bitflipper would want me to do it, for my own good, of course.

Done. Let the marathon download begin.

Thanks for thinking of me, Kreative. I'm sure you'll enjoy it enough for the both of us!

I thought you were going to buy it from Sweetwater for 50 bucks less - I assumed that would be a box rather than a download. Personally, I'll pay extra for a boxed product and save myself the headache of a huge download followed by a backup to DVD-R that may or may not be restoreable later.
