This is really a fantastic verb (my goto) and I just got it recently on that $49 deal. You can use it on everything. However, it's 32bit....but, I think IK's planning on getting the 64bit version out.  

I think they're holding off on the ST3 update until everyone on the planet owns every existing IK product. Surely we're almost there?

So true.   Wasnt there a group buy last year for all of the workstation products for 99 bucks? IK does get mileage out of old barely updated software better than anyone.

Ha Ha!  I think I got the ST2XL with all of the instruments at MF for 149.00 about a year ago. The cool thing is that it was like the keys to the IK kingdom. TRax up to deluxe with the Black/White in a great group buy for 99.
Their stuff is very good and things like Pro Channel are creating competition that gives us good stuff at fair prices.

Sonik Synth is really really sweet.

Yup, I got the whole kit 'n kaboodle last year (or was it the year before?) in a group buy. 99 bucks for ST2.5 and all the add-on libraries (including Sonik Synth, and yes there are some goodies in that one). I added Miroslav for, IIRC, $149 on sale. That's quite a collection of surprisingly useful sounds for a total of $248, and probably my smartest software purchase overall in terms of bang:buck ratio.
