I'm sitting here just thinking about the new room I am about to move into and then I realize: I don't have a frickin' chair to sit on!!

I can't even pick one from the dinning set because these won't be delivered before sometimes in April.

Anyway, I've spent the last two years using such little uncomfortable chairs and my lower back is starting to let me know that he's about ready to give up.

At that exact moment, I see the little Facebook notification flag. My wife had just sent me a pic with the words :

"Your new studio chair - good support for your back, arms that move out of the way (one of my prerequisite when working w/ guitars). Love you! xxxx"

Turns out she stopped by in a store on her way to work and bought me a real chair.

Man, I love that woman. :)

Nope.  Can't explain.  Need to find someone like that...

Here's a weird extra option:  Get a Roc 'n Soc drum throne (shown below in the tasteful dark red and black ;-)

I used to keep the nicer chair at the DAW then zip around the rest of the studio on the drum throne (you can get them with wheels).

LOL - that's the right palette.

I've always struggled w/ them because, in the price range I could afford, I didn't trust models w/ too many features and moving parts - these things often just start falling apart after a few weeks. So I usually settled for one w/ arm rests and putting up w/ uncomfortable positions when tracking guitars.

But the armrests do come handy for long sessions - on top of the lower back issues, I've also started having problems w/ my right shoulder/arm recently.

The chair should help.

The other thing I need to take care of is the little shelf on which I place my midi keyboard - due to the keyboard's height, I can't push it under the desk when I'm not using it, meaning that it's always in the way, between me and the desk.

Considering how I suck w/ tools and stuff, this will probably be one heck of a challenge. Or my wife will do it.

I can explain it..........

Obviously, she is an alien who has taken on a physical form that is attractive to you and has secretly implanted a microscopic thought reading chip into your body, probably after being secreted in a favorite beverage of yours. The Aliens purpose is as yet unknown, but it is using your now easily readable thoughts and desires to control you. The true purpose of all this will only become apparent when it is too late.

I would tend to believe that - she's no mere human. :P
