I bought BFD ECO a while ago when it was on sale and like it fine. A few days ago I bought the JEX expansion kit on special for $10. It turned out to be no bargain. The install instructions that came with it were for BFD, not BFD ECO. Following the instructions to the letter, I installed the first of 3 packages, and the install screwed the directory on my samples hard drive. No fun there. I am now at the very beginning of a Windows status check on the hard drive; based on progress after the first hour, I expect this to take many, many hours. There are hundreds and hundreds of thousands of discrete files on that drive, and Windows wants to check them all. When I checked the BFD forum, I discovered that another buyer suffered difficulties on install, to which an FXPansion techie helpfully replied that there is really a different procedure for install. I suppose it's asking too much to expect that a vendor will include the correct install instructions with the product, or that following the vendor's instructions will not destroy one's equipment. However, I can definitely say that this $10 purchase was no bargain at all, and it will be a long, long time before I consider another offer from FxPansion.
