Yorolpal has cast his vote, and I'm thinking that this twenty dollars is going to buy some real value. I'm waiting for Bapu to cast his vote before I push the button.

I recently got the Pultec EQ from Nomad Factory as a no brainer deal and that plugin sounds fantastic. Seeing as this is also a Nomad Factory thing I would venture to say it will be excellent and for the money you could not really go wrong.

The online demo was not very impressive, concerning the compressor. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_1t9nnpCpk

Any opinions on this?

The demo is thoroughly unimpressive. I'm willing to offer the "it's only $20 so it may be worth it", but doing that over and over again for plugins that border on useless adds up, especially considering there are freebies that are far more impressive. I'm wagering that within your collection of compressors (I know few people who have owned DAWS for a couple years that don't have far more compressors than they know what to do with) you have several already that are better than this and that could even emulate the subtle color this provides. Even those freebie Antress Modern plugins sound on par with this. $20 does not seem like a lot until you compare it to free.

I agree the Pultec is nice, this is not.

$20 dollars is tempting but how many do I need? I bought all those pro channel ones and don't even use them. I like the PC's eq a lot though.

I have to agree with Carl on this one!  I use Nomad Factory's Pultec and it often finds its place in mixes along with NI's and UAD's Pultecs; NF's Pultec is my favorite on my B3 patches --it sounds just right.  I also own NF's British Bundle and also own Waves and UAD2's Neve emulations, but the NF's British just doesn't compare to the others.  Grab NF's Pultec if it goes on sale, but I don't recommend their British Bundle (Neve emulations).

[On edit--To be fair, I am comparing it to UAD and Wave's; perhaps if I didn't have them, I might have more interest in NF's version]

That's what makes a horse race.  I like both the eq and the compressor. Go figure.

Plus the OP asked if they were worth it. I still say they are well worth ten bucks apiece. Geeze Louise.
