Sorry to hear, always sad to lose a love one.

I've always had cats and dogs from when I was born. Currently my wife and I have one cat (Bud) he is very smart, smarter than some humans lol.  When he was young he could easily turn the lights off/on /off/on and open the kitchen cupboards to raid the food.   He could easily jump on top of the fridge and like to rest on top of the kitchen cupboards (way above the bench tops.)  He is getting old now (16) and has settled down a lot, can no longer jump on top of the fridge, the cupboards or turn the lights off and on.

Heartbreaking.  That is the only word for losing a pet that you have had for so long.  ( Or any pet really ) but definitely in this particular case..  Heartbreaking...

Sorry to hear that. At least console yourself that 21 is a good age for a cat, we have one that's 20, we have had her as long as my wife and I have been together. We wonder how much longer she will keep going. It will be a blow when she goes.

Sorry to hear that. 21 years is an amazing length of time to have a cat. The longest we've had one animal was 25 years, but that was a pony.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.  We buried her in the yard yesterday and planted a tree on top.

Seems to me from my unscientific observation that music people like cats more than the general population does.  Probably the independence....
