Mooch4056....

Yep...5.0PE served me quite well while on XPSP3 and I was quite accustomed to the interface.
I'm sure I tried a couple of subsequent trial version post 5.0.

Now...I'm a 21st century guy and it occurred with no pain.

Later....

Unless you're running a commercial studio and all your plugins work well, then there really is no need to be on the bleeding edge...

XP and SONAR (older editions, particularly versions, 6.2 and 8.5) are very good and rock solid. Though you're on SONAR 5?, that's getting a wee bit too old but if you
are still able to run all your plugins without issues -- then save more money towards an up-to-date PC, top-notch audio interface and the next version of SONAR.

Out of curiousity, where can you get 8.5 if that's the version you want?  Or have the Bakers made only the newest stuff available?

Duh, HEREwhere YOU usually get all your supplies. Now if you ask nicely they may be able to assist. Good luck!

Hope the staff treats you well.

I suppose it takes some getting use to. But at least the white room is well padded, no one will hear your screams and loud fits of laughter.

That's OK, nobody hears them now anyway...

Hmm....is the loony bin still open?

I just noticed the minimum requirements for X2.
I wonder if I got too excited too quick:
"Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 2.67 GHz / AMD Phenom Quad Core 9750 2.4 Ghz or higher"

My specs:
AMD Sempron Processor 2800+  1.61 ghz

Even though I'm no power user does the above make me totally SOL for X2?

I need a drink.

Thanks...

Yes I would seriously think about upgrading your processor, and maybe getting some more memory (you don't say how much you have but I'm assuming that if it's an older DAW then it's on the low side).
